EA Games says Windows Phone is “important” to its handset strategy

EA has told Bloomberg that Windows Phone is important to its handset strategy.
“We’re working very closely with Microsoft to understand what their views on gaming navigation are,” Chief Operating Officer Peter Moore said in a phone interview. “Anything that allows more platforms to be adopted quickly that have a gaming element is good for Electronic Arts.”
Moore was speaking before the annual Gamescom conference in Cologne, Germany, next week.
EA has previously entered into a deal with Nokia to bring their games exclusively to Nokia’s Windows Phones. Windows Phone 8, with support for Native Code and different gaming engines, should make it even easier for the company to port their games to the new OS.
